He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Workman Murphy and Ersel Steele; his wife Roseanna Murphy; and his brothers, Jim, Glenn and John Murphy.
He is survived by: his daughter Cynthia "Cindy"; his son-in-law Rob Stevens of Mission Viejo; his son Rodd Murphy of Portland, Oregon.; and his grandchildren, Penny, Brian Gorsuch of Avonpark, Florida, Kara Murphy of Riverside, California, Brad, Kayla Stevens of Beaverton, Matt and Amber Stevens of Georgia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family suggests that remembrances may be contributions to Emanuel Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 505, Cornelius, Oregon 97113, in his memory.
