He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Thomas Valdez (Carol), Robert Valdez (Karen), Matthew Valdez, Ruth Valdez and Diane Valdez; his wife Ruth Valdez (Sias); his son David Valdez; his granddaughter Heather Valdez-Hasbrouck; and his parents, Benigno Valdez and Mercedes Valdez. He was also cherished by seventeen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild.
