He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil and Victoria (Bergeron); and his siblings, Albertine Johnson of Alice Bussell, Leo and Noel.

He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Fortney; his children, Maggie Koch (John), John Lague (Lesa), Sue Leczkowski and Peter Lague; his grandchildren, Katie, Lauren, Kristen, Amy, John, Steven, Laura, Anna and Emily; and his brother Jerome Lague (Joy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
