He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Takacs and Bonnie Louise Takacs (Camp). He is survived by: his wife Debbie; his children, Robert Takacs and Jennifer Bigler; his grandchildren, Megan Woida, Ryan Takacs, Logan Bigler, Griffen Almanza-Ward and Robert Almanza-Ward; his siblings, Susan Peters and Dennis Takacs (Holly); his mother-in-law Janet Foote; and his brothers, David (Cheryl Motsenbocker) and Rodney (Carolyn Bray). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
