He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Hutton (Carr) and Stanley Hutton; and his siblings, Dorothy and Stanley. He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Marie Birong; his sons, Thomas and Douglas (Terrie); and his grandchildren, Ryan and Lauren.
