He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Warnke and Sarah Warnke (McNutt). He is survived by: his siblings, Sarah Hardy (Warnke) of Springfield and Arthur Warnke (Karen); and his nieces, Elizabeth Mitchell (Mike) of Springfield, Amanda Kim (Ed) of Springfield and Meagan Stancomb (Jacob) of Williamsfield.

John donated his remains to the University of California San Diego's Body Donation Program.
