He was predeceased by: his parents, Milly Mae Santos and Bobby Camarena; his brother Barney James Mears; and his grandparents, Bob and Zelma Santos.

He is survived by: his brother Scott Mears of Tulare; his children, Merrissa Day of Porterville, Isaac Camarena, Jenelle Camarena, Rayanna Camarena, Mya Camarena and Aryanna Camarena; and his granddaughter Kaia Skylar Day of Porterville.
