He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lettie Hilyer Smith and Oral Smith; his wife Dorothy Peck; and his children, William Smith, Walter Smith and Lettie Boggs-Cowie. He was also cherished by 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
