Mary Lou Addor wrote a sympathy message

“May your memories of John endear you more to him and with time bring a peace that passes all understanding. I met John in Death Valley, when he and one of my dearest friends- Margot- were married. John was instrumental then in leading our Volunteer Fire Dept and other emergency efforts. Highly dedicated, impressionable, our lives in Death Valley merited a sense of community and safety as a result of John's efforts. Ski Death Valley -connects our hearts and faith. In grace - Mary Lou Addor”

Roberta Johnson wrote a sympathy message

“John, I just can’t believe you are gone! You were one of my best friends and I will miss you so much! I have a lot of wonderful memories that I will never forget. I always thought we’d get to ski together in our “golden” years at least one more time. And go to an Eagles Concert (again) and drink beer and eat Mexican food at that restaurant in Alameda. I don’t know what to say but you will always be in my heart and memories. I’m just heartbroken.”
