He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Isabelito Ascaño and Cecilia Astom Ascaño; and his siblings, Emilio Ascaño, Maria Cecilia (Al Pecayo) and John Michael (Kathryn). He was also cherished by his mom, his brothers and his sister, his nieces and nephews, his brother and sister in-laws, his extended family.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lima Family Milpitas-Fremont Mortuary (48800 Warm Springs Blvd, Fremont, CA 94539). A prayer was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (279 S Main St, Milpitas, CA 95035). Jomar never missed an opportunity to celebrate birthdays, holidays, and special occasions even during the pandemic by initiating and organizing online masses or celebrations.
