He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Murray and Mary Eve Brooke; his wife Peggy June Murray; his brother Guy Peter Kruse; and his granddaughters, Julia and Katherine Cable.
He is survived by: his daughters, Gwynne Cable (James), Browynn White (Daniel) and Ailene Long (Shane); and his sister-in-law Estrella Llergo Buendia. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and great grandchildren.
There will not be a funeral due to COVID concerns.
He later served on The Northern Arizona University Foundation Board of Directors and received an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters.
