He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Amos Whitten Rogers, Jr. and Mary Bohoney; his wife Karen Soderman; his stepson Christopher Baughman (Marcia); his daughters, Jennifer Tatum, Ashley Rogers and Amber Rogers; his grandchildren, Austin Baughman, Madison Tatum, Ethan Tatum and Ivy Mitchell; and his siblings, Rama Potter (Glenn) and Timothy Rogers (Annette).
Sadly, in 2008, Tom was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease and in June 2015 was placed at Western Slope Rehabilitation Center in Placerville, California.
