He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Benjamin Franklin Shurts and Bernice Elizabeth Lamb; his brothers, Gene (Eugene) and George; his children, Suzanne, Karl, Lynelle, Doreene, Cynthia, Matt, Doug and Ross; his wife Lanova Kay Ruch (Novie); and his uncle Henry. He was also cherished by his parents, grandparents.
