Floyd Thornton Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 25, 2020, at the age of 90, Floyd Thornton (Pittsburg, California), born in Maysville, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Thornton and Opal Thornton (Stinemetz); his son Ron; and his brother Loren E. Thornton. He is survived by: his wife Flora Dean Ward; his daughters, Charlotte Elfstrum (Vic) of Hinckley, MN and Karla Campbell (Ron) of Aledo, TX; his grandchildren, Jennifer Jabs (Tony) of Eastvale, CA, Jason Elfstrum (Amanda) of Coon Rapids, MN, Kim McFarland (Scott) of Cleburne, TX, Micheal Campbell (Camrym) of Jarrell, TX, Marc Campbell (Amanda) of Fort Worth, TX, Kristen Wilson (James) of Benbrook, TX and Ashley Yarbrough of Longview, TX.; his great grandchildren, Castle (Nick) of Missouri, Jesse (Vanessa), Faith Nicole, Riley, Aubree, Rayna, Logan, Jacob and Addison; his great great grandchild Brynn Grace; and his siblings, Darlene Reck (Fred) of Brentwood, CA and Glen Thornton (Martha) of Tulsa, OK.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

They lived in Yuma until October 2008, when they moved to Hinckley, Minnesota to be near their daughter after he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's.
