He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Buenaventura Cabrera and Ursula Cabrera; his wife Jacinta Salvo (Baby); his children, Gerald (Belinda), Sheila Martinez (Jerome) and Imelda Newsom (Brian); his grandchildren, Chloe, Roman and Julianna; and his brothers, Gilbert (Gin) and Ricardo Cabrera (Virgie).
Due to COVID19 restrictions, a celebration of his life will be held later in the future.
In recognition of his many achievements and contributions to charity organizations, his Lodge of Master Masons awarded him the highest award that can be received by A Master Mason anywhere in the world, the Hiram Award in 1994.
