She was predeceased by: her husband Raleigh Rowland; her daughter Angela Newell; her parents, Charles Lorentzen and Lueva McCrite; her adoptive parents, Elsie Wieda and Silas Wieda; her stepmother Dorothy Lorentzen; and her nephew Noah Wieda.
She is survived by: her children, Nicholas Rowland and Juliet Duncan (Patrick); and her grandchildren, Emily RoseMarie Newell, Willow Skye Duncan, Jareth Jett Rowland, Ethan Caleb Duncan and Malakai Gideon Duncan. She is also survived by many cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. Michael's Episcopal Church (647 Dundee Ave, Barrington, IL 60010).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Karen's name may be made to The American Lung Association or American Cancer Society.
