He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Pate and Eleanor Pate; his wife Kazuko Yoshimine; and his brothers, Richard, Harry and Father Harry (Mother Eleanor).
He is survived by: his sister-in-law Barb Pate; his niece Shelly Swanson (Steve); and his great-nephew Philip Loseke (Kindra).
