He was predeceased by: his wife Rose Barella; and his parents, George Katen and Clara Katen. He is survived by: his children, Scott Katen (Cheri), Diane Rowley (Cliff) and Debbie Mendes (Jeff); his granddaughter Clarissa Farinelli (Gino); and his children, Garret Rowley (Regan), Dale Katen, Jay Katen, Deanna Mendes and Jessica Mendes. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
