He is survived by: his wife Amelia Rodea; his sons, Jerome Rodea and Carlos Lugo Martel, Jr.; and his siblings, Isabel Rodea, Catalina Arcaute, Antonia Vega, Maria Abitua and Teresita Mendez. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
