“Having known Rick for 20 yrs or so, & getting very close the last 5 yrs through our mutual love of hiking/backpacking/music, his passing has left a void in what we called 'The Hiking Crew', our small group of friends that hiked almost daily, always looking for the next adventure. We have dedicated this 2021 year of hiking to Rick, each step closer to his goal of 1,200 miles. We miss you buddy, never forgotten. My condolences to the family”
