Linda Knowles wrote a sympathy message

“My name is Linda Knowles, and I worked with Philip at the De Anza College Bookstore for many years. I send my condolences to Philip's family and friends. It was a sad day when I heard of his passing. I kept in touch with him by e-mail on occasion. I admired his intelligence and interesting sense of humor. One memory (of many) is of him allowing my 10 month old daughter to dip her fingers into his margarita and have a taste. I miss knowing that he is on this earth.”
