She was predeceased by: her parents, Mildred Vollers and Wilbur Vollers; and her former husband Tom Short. She is survived by: her sons, John Stephen (Sharon Aston) and Pete Aston (Carla Aston); her grandchildren, Lacey Aston, Trevor Aston (Lindsay Aston) and Tori Aston; and her brother Gary Vollers (Aase Christiansen). She is also survived by stepchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Peter's Episcopal Church (2310 Airline Dr, Brenham, TX 77833).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
