He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicanor Sr. Cruz and Faustina Cruz; his brother Nicanor Jr.; and his father-in-law Cornelio Cruz. He is survived by: his wife Rosario C. Cruz; his children, Rhea Cruz-Magpantay and Randy C. Cruz; his children-in-law, Lloyd D. Magpantay and Ann Aquino-Cruz; his mother-in-law Salome Cruz; his sisters, Agnes Cruz Castor, Rosario Cruz Abello, Violeta Cruz Paz and Teresa Cruz Nishikawa; and his grandchildren, Isaac, Antonio Miguel, Antonia Marie and Andres Mateo. He is also survived by grandfather to his four grandchildren.
