She is survived by: her son Brian of La Jolla; her husband Dr. Zamudio; her daughter Laurie Whalen (Tim) of Pasadena; her grandchildren, Anthony Whalen and Madeline Whalen; her daughter Sabrina Smith (Shaun) of Sacramento; her grandchildren, Martin Smith, Nora Smith, Katlyn Zamudio and Warren Zamudio; and her siblings, Lynda Halko of Las Vegas and Gary Halko.

Janice loved playing the piano and did so all her life until her Parkinson's disease took that joy away from her.
