He is survived by: his spouse Lucy Ann Rosenberger; his brothers, Greg and Mark; his children, Susan (Aaron) and Robert (Audra); and his grandchildren, Selena, Elliot, Zoe, Kira and Hannah.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gene's honor to Friends of the Crowell Public Library, the Lewy Body Dementia Association, or Elizabeth House in Pasadena.
