She was predeceased by: her parents, Squire Ayers and Idell Bell Ayers; her siblings, Thelma, Velma, Debra, Lillie, Squire, Lawrence and Willie; and her brother-in-law Charles Spears.
She is survived by: her children, Sanford Johnson (Suzanne Hartley) of Durango, Colorado, Shawn Dantzler (Terza West-Dantzler) of Pasadena, California, DeWayne Dantzler, Sharon Dantzler and Cedric Dantzler; her grandchildren, Brittany McBride, Danielle Dantzler, Morgan Dantzler and Jordan Johnson; and her siblings, Kermith Ayers (Georgiana) of New York, James Ayers (Darlene) of New York, Emma Tucker of Tennessee, Dorothy Spears of Arizona and Angie Smith of California.
She never hesitated to donate food to others, frequently feeding children and tutors in the Seeds of Faith program and ensuring those in need received meals during Thanksgiving.
