He is survived by: his brother Luis Zarate; his daughters, Veronica Zarate and Rebecca Cantu; his grandchildren, Bernadette Gutierrez, Jasmin Ledesma, Julieann Gonzales, Kurhyn Pimentel, Haylee Zarate, Rhyemdi Zarate, Olivia Zarate and Jackson Jose Zarate; and his great grandchildren, Myla Camarena, Cleo Camarena, Sarah Ledesma and Benjamin Ledesma.
