She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Sr.; her children, Shirley R. Tankesley and Robert Jr.; and her siblings, Edgar B. Black, Jr. and Betty J. Riggins.

She is survived by: her parents, Edgar B. Anna and Effie Anna; her children, Carole A. Coons and Kenneth R. Coons (Barbara); her sister Dorothy A. Barnard (Ronald); her grandchildren, Robert (Shannon), Christopher, Justin (Anna) and Marissa; and her great grandchildren, Lauren, McKinna, Kathryn, Robert, Ava, Leah, Adam and Alex. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
