He was predeceased by: his son Walter Ryals. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Suzanne Cyprian (Calvin), Annette Berry (Clarence), Beverly Mitchell (Myron), Wendy Horne (Willie), Jeannette Smith (August), Shaniece Holmes (Rayburn), Joni Woods, Latrice Woods and Vanessa Morris (Derrick); and his daughter-in-law Carolyn Ryals. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
