He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Huff and Imo Hays Huff; and his sister Marjorie Corbell (Jeannie Bunker Huff). He is survived by: his wife Marilouise Johnson Huff; and his nieces and nephews, Patti Slattery (Patrick), Karry McAlevey, Mary Frances McNamee, Joseph McAlevey and John Philip McAlevey.
Also survived by loving stepchildren Patrick Ed" (Carol) Shimko, Steven (Kerri) Shimko and Edward "Ted" Shimko Jr. and daughters Susan Smith , Mary (Rick) Hand and Anne (Jeff) Furrows, and grandchildren Nick and Katie Dewlaney, Charles, Rachel and Kevin Shimko; Haili and Aubri Shimko; Christopher and Katja Shimko, , Cassandra, Christian and Collin Furrows, and great-granddaughter, Naomi Bullock. Phil was a Civil Engineer and employed by TRW in Redondo Beach from 1966 until retirement in 1990. Many volunteer activities included Harbor Interfaith Shelter and Palos Verdes Friends of the Library. He was an active member of Riviera Methodist Church. He has lived in Palos Verdes Estates since 1966, and was a member of the Palos Verdes Breakfast Club since 1978. Graveside services will be held at Green Hills Cemetery, on S. Western Ave, Rancho Palos Verdes on Tuesday March 27, 2018 at 1 pm. Celebration of Life will be held on April 7, 2018 at Riviera Methodist Church at 375 Palos Verdes Blvd, Redondo Beach, CA at 10:30 am. A reception will follow in the Riviera Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Riviera Methodist Church.
