He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Tarbell and Marcellus Verhoek; his stepfather Harold Tarbell; and his stepsiblings, John H. Tarbell and Beatrice Eldora Tarbell.
He is survived by: his spouse Roberta L. Kupfrian; his children, Karen Tarbell, Kristin Tarbell and Ben Tarbell; and his brother Jack Tarbell.
