He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Richard Gil, Marsha Casillas, Joey Alva, Susan Alva and Johanna Corbett; his daughter-in-law Maribel Alva; his wife Linda Alva; his son Patrick Alva; his brother John Alva (Snookie); and his mother Cecilia Antuna Vogler. He was also cherished by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and, nephews.
