She is survived by: her daughters, Joan M. Hastings of New York City and Dr. Marie Tolsma (Robert) of Lakewood, CO; her son-in-law William Varner of Naples, FL; her grandchildren, Bridget Varner Morel (Lance) of Westport, CT, Nicholas Varner (Juliana) of Cleveland, OH, Dr. John Tolsma (Paige Alfonzo) of Zurich, Switzerland, Dr. Thomas Tolsma (Brie Slam) of Lakewood, CO and Aaron S. Tolsma of Denver, CO; her great grandchildren, William, Camila Varner and Taylor Tolsma Greene; her stepsons, Dr. William R. Owen (Cynthia) of Wausau, WI and Dr. Richard Owen (Paula) of Rochester, MN; her granddaughters, Dr. Amy Owen, Sarah Owen, Ann and Susan Owen; her sister Mary Clausen of Des Moines, IA; her sister-in-law Carol Sullivan of Osage, IA; her goddaughter Lisa Sullivan Cockrum (Keith) of Osage, IA; and her friends, Katherine Vogel, Mary Ann Cusenza, Darlene, Lee Hunt, Duane and Marlene Fenstermann of Decorah, IA.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
