He was predeceased by: his parents, Valentin Lucero and Augustina Lucero; his son Jose "Jojo" Jr.; and his brothers, Julian, Augie and Alex Lucero.
He is survived by: his wife Emily Lucero; his daughters, Vivian Maestas (John) and Michelle Lucero-Lopez (Michael); his grandchildren, Jonathan Ortiz, Yvonne, Yvette Lucero, Gabby Lopez, Jamie L. Maestas, Mikaela and Daniel Lopez; and his great grandchildren, Mia, Michael Jr. and Joseph. He is also survived by numerous brothers, sisters, nephews, and nieces.
