He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Rosalio Chavez and Teresa Flores Chavez; his son Ruben Chavez; and his nephew Angel Chavez. He is survived by: his children, Maria (Jesse) of Oxnard, Beatrice Menchaca (Jonnie) of Camarillo, Oralia Chavez (Ventura), Daniel Chavez (Fremont Ohio) and Armando Chavez (Yvette) of Oxnard; his siblings, Oralia Juarez Eva (Oxnard) and Alfredo Chavez (Oxnard); and his close friend Kalea. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren.
