He was predeceased by: his wife Donna Lou Martin (Scriver); his son Dale Edward Martin; his parents, John Alvin "Jack" Martin and Mildred Iva Martin; and his brother Hugh Martin.

He is survived by: his daughters, Debbie Krampitz (Martin) and Sharon Martin (Ed Nemanic); his grandsons, Jared Krampitz (Jolie Krampitz) and Dustin Krampitz (Sagan Krampitz); and his great grandchildren, Kailey, Wyatt and Kastyn.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking donations to be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
