She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Behrends and Mabel Behrends; her husband James Thomas; her brother Arthur Behrends; and her grandson Kenneth Shukla.

She is survived by: her son Ajai; her daughter-in-law Hope Shukla of Parker, Colorado.; and her siblings, Leslie Metcalf of Newport Beach and Dan Behrends of Kennewick, Washington..
