Though Josefina may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carolina Garza Quintanilla and Rosendo Ramos Valdez; and her husband Eliazar Marroquin Gonzalez. She is survived by: her children, Nancy Ortiz, Jorge Luis Marroquin and Sonya Edith Haley-Mills; and her sisters, Natalia Rivas and Maria Ramos. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
