He was predeceased by: his father Manuel Sarmento Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Chris Sarmento (Cassandra) of Orland and Emmy Sarmento of Yreka; his mother Joyce Sarmento; his siblings, Kathleen Paslay (Greg) and Mark Sarmento (Paula) of Orland; his significant other Vicki Long of Orland; and his significant other's sons, Keith and Nathan Long of Willows. He is also survived by three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
