She was predeceased by: her husband Manuel Sarmento Jr.; and her son Terry Anthony Sarmento. She is survived by: her children, Kathleen Paslay (Sarmento) of Orland and Mark Sarmento (Paula) of Orland; and her grandchildren, Elizabeth Jaeger (John), Eric Paslay (Tamara), Latasha Marston (Donovan), Scott Sarmento (Rachel), Rick Lower (Tammy), Chris Sarmento (Cassie) and Emmy Sarmento. She is also survived by fifteen great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Joyce's name to the St. Dominic's Altar Society, Enloe Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
