He was predeceased by: his parents, Jasper Lee Rice and Gladys Bernice Mattice (Brown); his wife Donna Jean (Carnagey); his daughter Diana Jean Rice; his siblings, Robert Leroy Rice, Norman Eugene Rice (Irma) and Marilyn Joan Beloit (Bill); his stepfather Ralph H. Mattice; and his stepbrother Ralph M. Mattice (Shirley).
He is survived by: his children, Debra Ann Cufaude (Bill), Gerald Wayne Rice (Janice) and James Dean Rice (Beverly); his grandchildren, Gina, Katy, Matthew, Timothy, Travis, Kurtis, William and Courtney; his nephews, Steve Rice, Ken Rice, Bruce Beloit and Tim Beloit; his niece Noreen Wallace-Hines (Rice); his stepsisters, Kathleen Mattice Spillman (Hollis), Bonnie L. Mattice and Mary C. Wallace (Tina Mattice); and also Arleen Hines. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
