He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Beckering and Gertrude Beckering; his granddaughter Nanette VanderHart; his children-in-law, Gail Beckering and Jerry Heidenreich; and his siblings, Jeanette, Raymond and Gladys.
He is survived by: his wife Verla Kooiman; and his children, Leanne VanderHart of Grand Rapids, MI, Terry Beckering (Nina) of Irvine, CA, Todd Beckering (Noni) of Minneapolis, MN and Donita Opgenorth (Jack) of Flower Mound, TX.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Wycliffe Bible Translators or Celebration Church.
