He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Tait and Isabel Tait; and his siblings, Jerry Tait, Keith Tait and Donaleen Geib.
He is survived by: his wife Valetta Ahmann; his brother Thomas Tait (Patrice); his children, Susan Welch (Kevin), Tom Tait (Julie), Rich Tait (Kathryn) and Liz Ericsen (Tim); and his grandchildren, Whitney DeFrancis (Adam), Trevor Tait (Tori), Matthew Welch (Cali), Kendall Brown (Aubrey), Hannah Welch, Colin Tait (Hannah), Drew Ericsen (Stephanie), Cole Tait and Eliza Tait. He is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St Norbert Catholic Church-Ministry Center (300 E Taft Ave, Orange, CA 92865).
