He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jacob and Hiltje Hoekstra; his wife Marilyn; his sons, Jeffrey, Dusty (Ericka) and Corey (Alissa); his grandchildren, Austin, Tyler, Jake, Mia and Sadie; and his siblings, Georgina Huizenga, Gerben Hoekstra of Charlotte, NC, Bill Hoekstra of Oakdale, CA and Sipkje Knot.
