Formerly of Chalan Pago-Ordot, Guam and resided in Ontario, California.
Margarita died on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 early in the morning at home in the comfort of her bed with loved ones nearby. She had been struggling with congested heart and kidney failures.

She was predeceased by Tata (father): Pedro C. Camacho; Nana (mother): Ana A. Acfalle; Familia siha: Celina Acfalle, Jose A. Acfalle, James Edward Acfalle, Dimas Acfalle, Ingracia (Grace) Acfalle Olson, Grebell Cobb Adams Rowe. Survived by: husband: Frank P. Bomentre, Jr.; daughter: Rose Ann Bomentre; grandsons: Favio Bomentre Lalama and Nicolo Bomentre Lalama; Familia siha: Makana Henry C.A. Rowe, Francis Rowe, Barbara (Bobbie) Gros, Ana Macek, Frankie Acfalle, Fale Acfalle, Marnette Acfalle, Lucia Acfalle, Remy Cing, Julie Aguon, Lou Acfalle Thompson, Teri Meno, Lillian Terrell, Dolores DiNatale, Marie Bomentre. Also survived by many other loving family members.

Her husband called her My Darling and would refer to her as Mom when speaking with their daughter and grandsons. She was affectionately known as Mom by her daughter and Nonna by her grandsons. Margarita enjoyed spending time with familia and friends.

If you entered her home, the ancient Chamorro tradition of cooking and eating together was non-negotiable. A buffet of food was prepared for you to break a meal and bond over. She spent this meal time sharing her stories and listening to the stories of family and friends.

Margarita was a Saina to many who loved her for her smile, words of encouragement, generosity, and kindness. She believed in placing God before all and was devout in prayer and going to church. She loved the United States of America and was very patriotic.

Margarita enjoyed doing arts and crafts projects with her grandsons. She sewed pillow cases, Covid-19 masks, blankets, curtains, dog bed covers, etc. for her family. She crocheted hundreds of beanies for loved ones nearby and military personnel away from home during the winter months. With every newborn, a crocheted blanket would be delivered. She also spent much time growing fruits, vegetables, and flowers in her garden. She liked singing songs and signing American Sign Language to them. She made the best homemade cupcakes and cakes for her family as she celebrated birthdays, awards, graduations, concerts, etc.

Margarita was an independent, strong, opinionated, empathetic, and hardworking Chamorro woman which she passed on to her daughter. She was present in all aspects of life events near and far, through oceans and mountains, for her husband, daughter and grandsons. Margarita had high expectations for her daughter and grandsons. Education was the most important way to improve one’s life in her eyes. She worked very hard to ensure her familia tribe of her husband, daughter, and grandsons were taken care of so that they could focus on achieving success for which she was very proud of them. Margarita reminded her family to always show love and give two kisses at a time, sometimes more than once daily: one traditional kiss on the cheek with a follow-up Chamorro kiss (‘ñora). She would sit with her neni while he played video games or did homework just to be in his presence. She will be missed tremendously.

Due to the global COVID-19 pandemic and recent fires close to Ontario, CA, measures to ensure the safety and well-being of family and friends have been considered for all. A public memorial will not be held. You may view a celebration video of Margarita’s life at
https://youtu.be. Margarita will be cremated and brought home to her California residence until her family is able to fulfill her
wishes to be scattered in the Pacific Ocean in Guam. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made towards future traveling
arrangements for her family to escort her ashes and have a service in Guam at bit.ly/Margarita_Guam. Online condolences may be made at
