He was predeceased by: his son Joseph H. Gomes; his parents, Henrique Gomes and Mercedes Gomes; and his sister Seferina Inacio. He is survived by: his wife Margarida F. Gomes; and his siblings, Francisco Gomes and Maria of Fatima Borges.
