It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Stuart Townsend in Ontario, California, born in Kewanee, Illinois, who passed away on August 20, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Townsend and Vada Townsend; his brother Donald Townsend; and his son Chad Townsend. He is survived by: his wife Janet Townsend; his sister Helen Fuhr; and his children, Michael Burmeister, Heidi Peter (Juergen), Amy DePauw (Joe), Angela Kelley (Patrick) and Billy Braden (Leslie). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, several cousins, nieces and nephews.
