He is survived by: his spouse Margaret "Quilly" Carlson (Kavanagh); his children, Michael Carlson of Kitchener, Mark Carlson and Brianne Carlson of Ottawa; and his siblings, Florence Posmituk of Edmonton, Alberta, Thelma, Joe May of St. Thomas and Viola Carlson of Montreal.
