He is survived by: his wife Margery Rope; and his children, Jacqueline Whorton (Jim) of Tacoma, WA, Harry D. Sims, III (Judy) of Portland, OR and Raymond P. Sims. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Ojai Chapter of the Humane Society.
