It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James R. Gilbert of Oceanside, California, born in Dearborn, Michigan, who passed away on October 19, 2021, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, James Gilbert and Evelyn Gilbert (Ford). He is survived by : his girlfriend Teresa Bila; his girlfriend's children, Spencer Bila and Samantha (Evan Seacat); his sister Beverly (Michael Gregory); his nieces and nephews, Tim and Kristyn; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Emerson and Ari; his siblings-in-law, Richard (Lee Rogler) and Jamie (Rick Crelly); and also, Lincoln, Scarlett, Bill Janz and Tim Thomas.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
